Pisces Season 2026: Swimming Upstream

We are swimming upstream against the hazy and delirious Pisces season currents. Yet this month, we are learning to stop demanding answers from life and trust the intuitive intelligence found within us.

Pisces season marks the final chapter of the astrological year — a moment of transition that calls us to use the final days of winter for rest, realignment, and creative exploration. From February 18 to March 20, 2026, the Sun drifts through the deep, sensitive currents of Pisces, flanked by introspective Mercury, which turned retrograde on February 26. The arrival of Mars, the archetypal warrior, in these same emotional waters on March 2 amplifies the message of surrender. We may feel as though we’ve lost our footing in the material world and struggle to find a firm grip on linear time or objective fact. But finding something rigid to cling to will only spark anxiety, worry, and panic over the uncertainty of the season.

As the final month before the revitalising Spring Equinox, we are called to stop relying on what can be seen with the eyes and start trusting the pulse of our hearts. There’s a specific kind of intuitive intelligence that can only emerge when we stop demanding immediate answers from life and start looking within for guidance. Decisions shouldn’t be forced, actions mustn’t be rushed, and we must move through Pisces season with a deeper understanding of the confusion and delays that this chapter brings. The external world is hazy and rife with misunderstandings and uncertainty to facilitate this lesson.

The Highlights of the Season

The arrival of the Total Lunar Eclipse in Virgo on March 3 sets the stage for a closer examination of the parts of our lives that are overworked or burdened by perfectionism. Then, Venus — the planet of relationships and values — shifts into fearless Aries from March 6, injecting intensity into our romantic encounters and a sudden urgency to indulge, live, and play. Pursuing what ignites our passion when the season’s backdrop energy is so delirious could lead to a reckless and impulsive scattering of our energy and resources.

“This Pisces Season Brings a healing Lunar Eclipse and Introspective Mercury Retrograde.”

True navigation this season is not about rejecting responsibility, but directing our attention toward areas that are not currently undergoing a radical readjustment. While we may be excited over the prospect of potential, we mustn’t forget that there is a more energetically favourable time outside of this eclipsed chapter to explore our blossoming desires and creative pulse. Jupiter retrograde ends in compassionate Cancer on March 11. Deepening our emotional awareness better equips us to respond through presence, rather than patterns of our past, especially where our connections are concerned.

Leading up to the Pisces New Moon on March 18-19, we must honour our bodies' plea for rest and stillness without the burden of expectation and pressure of performance, metrics, and productivity. The New Moon rises before the Sun’s ingress into Aries on March 20; a new dream or creative ambition will be planted in our hearts in perfect time. As our perspective shifts, so too must our devotion — we must be more invested in our future that is blossoming with potential over the old chapters that were intentionally closed and left behind us. Mercury retrograde ends on the day of the Equinox and Solar New Year. As we shake off the eclipse shadow, we’re immersed in a powerful chapter for renewal and anticipation.
