Prepare For Global Structures To Radically Change In 2020

Major Astrological Shifts Are Underway As We Enter A New Decade

Astrologically, early 2020 will be a turning point for all of us. We will transform and be reborn. The Eclipse season will continue, moving on from the December 25 annular Solar Eclipse to the January 10, Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn. There is currently an intense focus on Capricorn energy (Saturn, Jupiter, Pluto, and Mercury in Capricorn). A significant transit also currently taking place is Saturn Conjunct Pluto at 22° whilst Uranus will go direct on January 10. The themes of 2020 are the transformation of power, death, rebirth, and aftermath. During this time as individuals, and as a global community, we will be challenged to address all things superficial and build our future on more solid foundations.

Lunar Eclipse In Cancer

Eclipses are powerful forces that are out of our control. The universe is transforming and everything is falling into place, bringing us all that we need. A Lunar Eclipse takes place during a full Moon in which the Earth stands between the Sun and the Moon. A lunar eclipse calls for adjustments. They represent ending points and transformations, pushing us towards the next stages of our lives. This Eclipse will draw on the power of our Lunar Nodes, pulling us towards our soul purpose and destiny, and encouraging us to let go. This transformation will be deliberate, and resisting will only cause a more painful experience. The Moon is in its natal positioning in Cancer. The energy of the Moon here is sensitive, compassionate, and nurturing- often ruling motherhood and mothering figures. Our internal feelings and emotions will be highlighted during this time.

This eclipse will influence us to feel more sensitive than usual. Whilst we will all experience the effects of this Lunar Eclipse, if you have placements that correspond to the 20° Eclipse, you will feel this greatly in the area and house in which it falls. If you are naturally sensitive and have significantly sensitive placements in your natal chart (personal Planets in Pisces, Libra, Scorpio, and Cancer), I would encourage you to take time for yourself during this Eclipse. Focus on keeping yourself grounded and distracted from your wandering thoughts. Your mood will be heightened and may fluctuate. Your emotions will feel heavier than usual. The feelings that have been buried in the back of our minds and the thoughts that we have been trying to ignore will be brought forward. It's important to focus on not reacting instinctively according to our feelings.

Saturn Merges With Pluto In Capricorn

Saturn conjunct Pluto is a powerful and rare cosmic alignment. Saturn and Pluto will be in direct conjunction at 22° on 12th January. However, we have already been experiencing the energies of this transit and will continue to do so afterwards. This transit seems to bring along doomsday fears, but I can assure you that the world is not ending. We will certainly be experiencing difficulties on a global as well as personal scale. This aspect is recognized as one that brings along a lot of transformation and destruction in its wake. It was significant during the outbreak of World War I, as well as right after the 1929 Wall Street Crash. Saturn conjunct Pluto is also known for bringing along technological advancements.

The stellium in Capricorn puts an emphasis on the core structures of power on a global scale. We will have to address Karma, death, and rebirth. Transformations regarding power structures and government will be huge. It is likely that a lot of hidden secrets will come to light, causing the ground to metaphorically (and physically) shake. All things superficial will not survive this transit, and there is a large emphasis on the aftermath. The things that occur during this conjunction will require us to be strong moving forward and make smarter, honest, and well-intended decisions in the future. A lot of what occurs during these transits will be the consequences of our own actions.

On a personal level, this transit calls for us to let go. We mustn't be afraid of change and won't be able to avoid the inevitable. Deliberate transformation is necessary for the personal growth of our souls and is vital to putting us back on the right track. We must struggle through this experience in order to come out of it reborn.

Uranus Retrograde Ends

Uranus has been in retrograde since 11th August 2019 and is now stationary, waiting to go direct in Taurus on January 10. Uranus is a force of change and progress. During the retrograde, Uranus' qualities were suppressed. This transition will allow us to finally release these suppressed urges. You may notice a significant rise in tension on a global scale. This release of emotion will be eruptive and aggressive, as we may finally address the thoughts and feelings that have been hidden deep within us. Uranus in Taurus brings along a transformative, progressive, and awakened state. The political start to 2020 will not falter, it will increase. Don't be surprised if you see many protests taking place this year. The global energies may feel chaotic and overwhelming at times. We are future-oriented and determined to cause changes, shake the table, and push the status quo this year. Uranus in Taurus may encourage and empower you to unapologetically share your opinions. These energies paired with the Lunar Eclipse could cause a direct effect on the Earth. Mother Nature is yearning for us to get our acts together, and there is a good chance there will be an increase in natural disasters.
